Inktober 2021 (3)

DAY 3: (vessel)

One thing I love about participating in Inktober, is getting to explore different ways of applying lines. My last picture, used Asian brushes. Now to go berserk with technical pens! Because they have such a uniform line, the challenge is to vary strokes in as many different ways, as possible. The contrast of line directions, shapes and patterns, is how depth is created.

A newly hatched turtle is on the beach, saying hello to the world for the first time. The waves call in the background, and the moon, like a giant sonar calling them to the sea.

A shell is the vessel, turtles carry on their backs for all their lives. An egg however, is the first vessel a turtle experiences leaving behind.
